Spending a night in the Alhambra, among gardens and fountains that evoke a past where Arab and Christian elements blend, is the exclusive opportunity offered by the Parador of Granada, a convent built by the Catholic Monarchs on the site an an Nasrid Palace.
The Parador de Granada is located in the Nasrid Palce of the Infantes, converted by the Catholic Monarchs into the first Christian Convent of the conquered Alhambra and place designated to honor the burial place of the Monarchs.
Today, the original courtyard transformed into a cloister, the Arab Room and the “qubba”, a magnificant viewing point of the Generalife through which the royal irrigation channel passed and are the temporary tombs of the Catholic Monarchs, and are still preserved. In addition, The Parador houses the remains of the palace ́s Arab baths, discovered in 1949.
